The BOMA BEST module is an integral part of Stream, Brightly’s energy and sustainability management solution. The module simplifies the process of answering the Sustainable Certification questions and submitting the data to BOMA BEST.
What is BOMA BEST
BOMA BEST (Building Environmental Standards) is a North American program that certifies the environmental performance and management of existing commercial buildings. Developed by BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) Canada, it's one of the leading standards for sustainable building management in Canada and is rapidly expanding in the US.
BOMA BEST helps building owners and managers assess, improve, and certify the environmental performance of their buildings. It provides a framework for best practices in energy, water, waste, emissions, indoor environment, tenant engagement and building management practices.
Levels of Certification: Buildings are assessed across various criteria and can achieve different levels of certification (e.g., Certified, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum), indicating their level of environmental and operational performance.
Achieving BOMA BEST certification demonstrates a commitment to environmental responsibility, can lead to operational efficiencies (e.g., lower utility costs), enhance property value, attract environmentally conscious tenants, and improve a building's public image.

The purpose-built BOMA BEST Survey leverages Stream’s Survey module’s features to allow sustainability and property teams to collaborate and effectively answer the +130 questions required for each building. The sustainability professionals assign the survey to the buildings and their property teams, monitor response status, and view previous answers for easy confirmation.
The ability to duplicate survey responses for similar buildings or entire portfolios helps users save time and ensures consistency across properties.
BOMA BEST Sync Management
Seamlessly manage the data synchronization between Stream and BOMA BEST Hub. Users can see the status of the survey completion, manage the data sync as well as view the status of the last push of the answers from Stream to BOMA BEST Hub.
BOMA BEST Interface
Seamlessly feed your responses from Stream to BOMA BEST Hub using our API-based BOMA BEST interface and track their status on the BOMA BEST Sync Management.
