Case Study: Washoe County

My name is Aaron Smith. I am of county's business intelligence program manager. So we the county are the holders of the taxpayer dollars, and we wanna use those to efficiently as possible. So energy consumption is a big bill we pay and we wanna make sure that we're using that to create as much value as we can and and provide the services at the levels of service that are expected from our customers. We use Brightley's asset essentials CMS, predictor, connector, and also energy manager that makes us make better decisions. It decreases our uncertainty of out what the future looks like, and it increases the chances that the decisions we do make will have a more positive impact and create more value for our citizens and customers. The culture change of Washington County went from very much opinion based to more of a query based question based, show me the evidence based. And the reason for that is because we have good data now, to back that up, and we have a way to you know, check our assumptions, and we've been able to show and make the case for things like resources, people, and shifting things around because we've had this data and the ability to look at it. I can imagine doing my job without Riley, but it would be less efficient. It would cost more money, and we wouldn't do as good of a job.
